Atlanta, Ga was a hot spot for youth ballers this past weekend (March 5th-7th) as the North American Youth Basketball Association(NAYBA) hosted over 60 teams on the 1st stop of the South East Youth Basketball Conference(SEYBC) 2nd inaugural year. With gym locations all over the metro Atlanta Area, teams from Florida, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, & Georgia tipped off travel season with some great competition going head to head. The event included teams from 2nd grade all the way up to High school.

Some teams who stood out and dominated this weekend was Team Tampa (11th Grade, Tampa, Fl) who went undefeated over the 3 days & looked like they had the most fun on the court; as well as the MetroLina Havoc (8th grade, Charlotte, N. Carolina) whose twin towers gave that whole age division problems; and one of the most talented organizations in every age group & most talked about teams was the Forest City Heat (Forest City, N. Carolina) who brought 7 teams to the Atlanta leg!!!

NAYBA kicked off MARCH MADNESS as the most anticipated tournament this month, that many teams are still kicking themselves for not entering earlier, as each division was loaded with quality teams. The atmosphere all weekend was exciting & riveting with high flying dunks from 9th grade & up to some elite ball handling skills and crossovers that had some of the younger players on skates and breaking ankles! Stay tuned to NAYBA NATION as we bring you in depth highlights, write-ups & interviews of these great players & teams over the next couple of days. If you missed it NAYBA NATION will have you re-live this tremendous weekend all over again! “SHOW YOUR GAME”
